Portuguese real estate welcomes the new developer Antrix
New real estate developer has a luxury megaproject in the Algarve and is negotiating new developments in the Lisbon area.

There is a new real estate developer operating in the Portuguese market, and it already has several projects underway in the Algarve. It is called Antrix and was founded by Dutch entrepreneur Erik de Vlieger together with a group of investors. Its goal is to create real estate solutions in the residential, tourism, and leisure sectors, with a “strong connection to communities”.

The newly created Antrix will operate independently in the national market, counting on international support as well as the track record of real estate developer Carvoeiro Branco, which has been active in Algarve real estate for the past 20 years. Leading the new developer will be Erik de Vlieger, who will combine the role of CEO of both Antrix and Carvoeiro Branco, according to a statement sent to the press.

Investing in housing, hospitality, and leisure is part of Antrix’s plans, and the company also has “the objective of expanding its activity beyond the regional scale”. For now, it has several projects underway in the Algarve, such as the redevelopment of the former BelaOlhão factory, located in the city’s marina, which will cost €300 million. The site will feature around 500 apartments and a luxury hotel.

“At Antrix, we maintain the same long-term vision and commitment to quality that have defined our path so far — now with a broader geographic and conceptual reach”, says Erik de Vlieger, quoted in the document. “We are focused on creating spaces that reflect the way people aspire to live, today and in the future”, he adds.

In fact, Antrix is currently negotiating to develop new projects in Lisbon, Montijo, Setúbal, and southwestern Spain, the statement further reveals.
