ANTRIX, a new real estate development company with international backing, has officially entered the Portuguese market with an active and growing portfolio. The company is committed to delivering innovative and reliable real estate solutions across residential, tourism, and leisure projects, guided by architectural integrity, long-term vision, and community relevance. While operating independently, ANTRIX builds on the track record of the well-established Carvoeiro Branco name, with the aim of expanding its development activity beyond a regional level.
Currently advancing multiple developments in the Algarve, the company’s headline project is the €300 million redevelopment of the BelaOlhão factory, a former industrial site in the marina of Olhão. Once complete, the development will offer around 500 apartments and a luxury hotel, revitalizing a prominent site in the city.
ANTRIX was co-founded by Dutch entrepreneur Erik de Vlieger and a group of investors. De Vlieger, who also serves as CEO of ANTRIX and of Carvoeiro Branco, brings decades of experience in real estate development and urban regeneration, both in Portugal and abroad.
“ANTRIX is driven by the same long-term vision and commitment to quality that have defined our work so far — now with a broader geographic and conceptual scope” said Erik de Vlieger. “We’re focused on creating spaces that reflect how people aspire to live, both now and in the future.”
In addition to its Algarve portfolio, ANTRIX is currently in negotiations to develop new projects in Lisbon, Montijo, Setúbal, and southwestern Spain. With several projects underway and more in the pipeline, ANTRIX is steadily building a portfolio shaped by long-term relevance and a commitment to thoughtful, well-located projects.
